WOAC CHRISTMAS INITIATIVE @ TAWANA COMMUNITY CHILDREN'S HOME NPO

Women of Africa Care hosted a Christmas Party for Tawana children - it was a day filled with fun activities, WOAC Team produced and enacted a Christmas play, while children ate popcorn and sang along to carols.
WOAC Christmas hamper to Tawana Community included:
12 Children that attend school received school shoes
21 Children received gifts and Christmas socks filled with sweets, in addition 7 SA community children receive gifts and Christmas socks
In addition Tawana home was given a complete lounge Christmas makeover- which included a Christmas Tree, lighting, decorations, and filled Christmas stockings for each child displayed on the lounge rails.
Food hamper consisted of turkey, beef, ribs, lamb, potatoes, corn flakes, jam, peanut butter, chocolate spread, cookies, onions, beetroot, rice, mielie meal
Kiddie treats included, Popcorn, candy floss and a sweet pack (jelly and candy faces),
Cristmas Socks were filled with, kinder joy panda egg, candy cane, sherbet, marshmallow ice cream cones

WOAC UPLIFTS TAWANA COMMUNITY CHILDREN'S HOME NPO

Women Of Africa Care team's October SED initiative guided by SED Executive Director Ruth Murray.
This initiative involved, "eat, pray, love" to children aged toddlers-19 years of age, spending time with the little babies 3-10 months. The following items were given as part of the initiative:
1. First Aid Kit
2.Luncheon Box (Chocolate Muffin, apple)
3.Bibles
4.10kg Mielie Meal
5.Toys (Puzzle's, Balls, Kiddies reading books)
6.Diapers
7. Sweet pack (Chips, Juice, a variety of sweets)
8.Lotions
9. Pads
10.Roll-on
11. 10 kg Rice
12. and quality time with WOAC team(we played jump rope, hopscotch, ball and balloon fun and story time with the precious children.

WOAC celebrates Mandela Day by uplifting abuse women and children abandonment
Women of Africa Care reached out to Tshegofatsa Rona Welfare safety haven which shelters 53 disadvantaged individuals. The residents compromising of women & children; and babies who have been abandoned, 99% of these precious loved ones are victims of rape and violence. WOAC would like to thank Cynthia Dilane for allowing the team the opportunity to visit, spend time with the precious residents and bless the residents with snack packs, soup and bread, cup cakes, cookies, and giving them inspiration and songs of hope. WOAC Pantry donated groceries to Tshegofatsa Rona to assist with meals for the household.

Precious baby abandoned by her parents (left alone in her home for days with her little brother, with no food and no care) rats nibbled on her head and ears.
SAPS brought baby to safety - Tshegofatsha Rona welcomed this precious baby and helped her into recovery.
13 abandoned babies housed by Tshegofatsa Rona Welfare. These precious babies are indeed in a safe place. They are well taken care of.

WOAC sponsors Soup and Bread for Blanket Drive hosted by HIS Church Ministry in Kayalami
WOAC Pantry sponsors 100 soup meals for loved ones who are homeless. HIS Church ministry completed an outreach in May visiting local community places of need in and around Kayalami and Kempton Park. It was a cold evening, and many were cold and hungry. WOAC is glad to have contributed to the needs of the hungry.

SED Initiative - Lady Fatima High Tea, May at Brentwood Park, Benoni
Women of Africa Care had the privilege of hosting a High Tea to 35 widow women at Lady Fatima Old Age. This home was established in 1996 by 2 nuns who had 2 residents at the time of establishment. Today this establishment houses 35 widows. WOAC SED team had a lovely afternoon, amongst a wonderful group of humble, friendly, fun, loving and grateful moms. Tanya and Cristina who are philanthropists in their own personal sphere, collaborated alongside WOAC and supported this High Tea event. A special thank you to Cora Kemp who helped serving with our WOAC team. It was wonderful to serve our community together. What a beautiful afternoon it was. WOAC blessed the lovely moms with gift packs comprising of bath set (Face towel and dove soap). Bedtime snack (cup cake, peanut
butter cookies, crunchie, coconut tartlet), chocolate gift pack (Ferraro Roche, marshmallow smores). Thank you to Guida Veira manager of Lady Fatima Old Age for giving Women of Africa Care an opportunity to serve their residents with a wonderful High Tea in celebrating Mother's Day!
