PURPOSE OF MENTORS AND LIFE COACHES

A friend reminds you how far you’ve come. A mentor’s job is to remind you of how far you have to go.

- Jay Shetty

A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.

— Bob Proctor

The purpose of a mentor is to help you grow as a person and become the best version of yourself. This may involve helping you achieve your personal or career goals, introducing you to new ways of thinking, challenging your limiting assumptions, sharing valuable life lessons, and much more. A mentor is a person who can support, advise and guide you. They typically take the time to get to know you and the challenges you're facing, and then use their understanding and personal experience to help you improve.   There is a no heavier burden than an unfulfilled potential.

-Charles Schulz-American cartoonist

The purpose of a life coach is to facilitate people to make progress in their lives by providing them with  tips  and techniques to gain greater fulfillment. A life coach is a wellness professional. A life coach provides a fresh, informed perspective on your daily problems. A life coach is different from other types of coaches because life coaches  focus on personal growth, uplifting, and fulfillment, while the other types of coaching are mostly result-driven and do not focus on individual satisfaction.

You should consult a life coach if you’re dealing with lack of fulfillment in your life, constant feeling of dissatisfaction at work, blocked creativity, inability to break bad habits, frequent irritability, and high levels of stress or anxiety.
